Shower Doors
StudioLX carries shower doors in frameless, semi-frameless and framed construction, in sliding, pivot, hinged and bi-fold configurations, from DreamLine, ANZZI and others.
Frameless vs. semi-frameless. Frameless doors use thicker glass — typically 3/8" or 1/2" — with minimal hardware, giving the cleanest look and the highest price. Semi-frameless uses 1/4" or 5/16" glass with a slim frame on the fixed panels, which costs meaningfully less and still reads as open. Framed doors are the most affordable and the most watertight.
Which opening style. Sliding (bypass) doors need no swing clearance, which makes them the default for tub-shower combos and tight bathrooms. Pivot and hinged doors swing outward and need roughly 30 inches of clear floor. Bi-fold splits the difference where space is tight but you want a wider opening.
Measure before ordering. Take the opening width at the top, middle and bottom — walls are rarely plumb, and doors are sized to the narrowest measurement. Most models include an adjustment range of 1/2" to 2".
